Toyota recall conspiracy removes Connecticut from New England

In a recent press release Toyota announced it was recalling 1.5 million vehicles, this time for a break fluid leak – or so they say.

I’ve uncovered some classified company information that sheds light on the real issues.  Toyota is rewriting history, and the history books themselves.   On October 20, 2010, I saw a television commercial for “New England Toyota Dealers”.  The commercial featured that guy who used to do the Toyota commercials back in the 90’s.  Toyota started using him again in an attempt to gin up customer confidence in Toyota after the recent  “uncontrolled acceleration” disasters.   To my surprise, the map of New England used in that commercial did not include the State of  Connecticut.  Yes, only Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island are “New England” states according to Toyota.  I figured it had to be an honest mistake, right?  – until I did a little more digging.

I scoured the Internet for the video of this commercial but could not find it.  I thought it was odd that I could not find the video since every commercial in the world makes it to YouTube.  I theorized that Toyota was involved in a conspiracy:  I scoured further.

As luck would have it, I stumbled upon a web site that Toyota forgot to hide.   This forgotten page proves that the company does not consider Connecticut to be part of New England.  Here is a screen shot from the web site in question.  It has not been altered.  Please – only read further at your own risk, since once you see this, you will be part of the select few who know where the roots of this conspiracy reside.

Notice that next to “Locate a Dealer”, Connecticut is not listed.  Further, the URL for this page is:

http://www.newenglandtoyota.com/dealerLocator/dealerLocatorStart.aspx.

I know for a fact that Connecticut is part of New England.  Check any source you can find – other than Toyota – and you will see that I am correct on this point.  Only 4 States were considered to be “New England” when our country was formed by the original 13 colonies.  Those 4 States are Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and CONNECTICUT.  Vermont was not yet a State and Maine was owned by Massachusetts at the time.  Maine didn’t even become a State until 1821.

And how does all of this relate to Toyota’s recent recall?  There are approximately 1.5 million Toyota vehicles registered in the State of Connecticut.  Toyota’s most recent recall is 1.5 million vehicles.  So one can deduce that Toyota is trying to remove Connecticut from New England and remove all of Connecticut’s Toyotas so that no proof is left behind.  This recall is one big conspiracy in Toyota’s evil plan to eliminate Connecticut from New England.  They’ve already done it in their advertising.  Toyota knows that America has become so stupid and complacent, that if Toyota tells them that Connecticut is not part of New England, Americans will believe them.  All Toyota has to do is say it over and over and over again until fiction becomes fact.

Don’t let them do it, I BEG YOU!  I may live in Maine now, but in my heart, I will always be a Connecticutter (yes that’s the real name for people from Connecticut).  Don’t let Toyota rewrite history, or our maps.

PLEASE CALL TOYOTA’S “CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE CENTER”
AT 800-331-4331.

Ask them to put Connecticut BACK ON THE NEW ENGLAND MAP.

This is not a political issue, nor is it a partisan issue.  This is an American Issue.

Be strong.  Take New England Back!

Glenn Beck – CRYBABY or a Cry for Help – maybe both.

The first time I saw Glenn Beck break into tears, he was on CNN Headline News, when he used to have his 7:00 pm comedy hour (or whatever).  When CNN first gave Glenn Beck his own show, I thought he must be a leftist, I mean come-on, it’s CNN, well known as the “Clinton News Network”.  I can’t say as though I am a huge fan of CNN even when I thought they were more leftist.  But I checked in on this Beck guy because I didn’t really know all that much about him.  Had I given it more thought, I would have realized that the CNN Headline News Channel is NOT the same as regular CNN.  From what I know his ratings were good, at first, at CNN-HL but I, like others apparently, just could not stand to listen to him drone on with conservative, Neo-Con, Evangelical, born-again rhetoric about George W. Bush, the entire Bush Administrations, and Republicans in general.  I did not realize he was a Limbaugh in training.   And lied just as much.

Glenn Becks’ television crying sprees are all over the Internet now, so I won’t bother to waste more space and bandwidth by linking to them or uploading them to my site.  You can find them anywhere, just Google it.

He does a radio show, coast-to-coast, every day as well.  I don’t listen to him much except to sneer at him as I scroll through the dial.  I don’t recall hearing him cry on radio.  I guess because radio just doesn’t have the same punch if you’re going to do the “ugly cry” or the “televangelist cry”.   So, CNN-HL fired him.

His ratings are supposedly pretty good at Fox.  But then again, so were the ratings for the 9/11 attacks live on TV.  And speaking 9/11, Beck e started a new club called the 9/12 club to try and rekindle the feeling we all felt in the days immediately following 9/11.  Well, I think he’s trying to get to Patriotism, on the surface anyway.  But for me, the day after 9/11, which happens to be my birthday, was filled with deep, deep sadness, fear, confusion, uncertainty.  I DO NOT WANT TO JOIN A CLUB FOR THAT.  So, Beck, take it somewhere else.  And all of this faux patriotism, shrouded over neo-conservative double-speak,  isn’t’ fooling anybody.

Some of Glenn Back’s most recent, infamous quotes are below (and remember, in your head, read them like Jimmy Swaggart when he was crying on TV saying “I have sinned”)  along with my responses to them:

  • GLENN- “Are you ready to be that person you were the day after 9/11? – ME: – NO
  • GLENN – “You are not alone” – ME:- I know, and I’m glad you’re not in my 5 favorites
  • GLENN – “You are the secret, you are the answer” – ME:  To what?  I thought “The Secret” was a self-help book – maybe you should read it.
  • GLENN – “To our military bases in Iraq where real heroes have gathered” – ME: Well I can’t argue with that.  Even the crazies have lucid moments.
  • GLENN: “I’m like you, I just love my country and I fear for it” – ME: Hmm, I love my country; too, conservatives don’t corner the market on that.  But unlike Glenn, I’m not afraid for it.
  • “It seems like the voices of our leaders, and the special interest, and the media…they’re surrounding us and it sounds intimidating” – ME: Glenn, we’ve talked about this.  If you start hearing voices in your head, you need to tell the doctor so he can up your medication.  Actually, I think it would be better if he just started drinking again.  He’d be WAY more fun at parties”
  • “I’m a guy who cares an awful lot about my country” – ME: Couldn’t agree more. You do love it an “awful” lot.  It’s obsessive, dysfunctional, co-dependent, and I hate the be harsh but… The country just isn’t that into you.

I just want to be clear.  I cry at Hallmark commercials.  I have no problem with crying.  But this man is coming unglued.  He makes no bones about being a recovering alcoholic.  I’m well aware of the 12 steps.  But this is out of hand.  What step is “I’m a blubbering idiot who can’t formulate a complete thought and even though I know the whole world isn’t really against me, they really are”.

If this is how Glenn Beck behaves, if this is his platform on the Fox Network, if they simply stand by and allow this guy to mentally implode on a regular basis on national television just for the ratings, then Ruppert Murdock and the Foxtones are stark, raving mad; that’s what I first thought.  Then I realized what Fox is doing.  It’s all a ploy.

And what’s up with the big ratings?  Is that because watching him is like watching a train wreck in slow motion?  YES!  That’s exactly what it is.  People can’t possibly be tuning in to hear what he has to say because he isn’t saying anything, he just blubbering.  Here’s the deal – People are tuning in because the economy sucks, nobody has any money, and watching this piss-ant have a nervous breakdown on live TV is fun…and free.

Glenn Beck says he loves his country so much. Well I’ll say it out load because nobody else will.  He only loves the 39% of our country that doesn’t think Obama is doing a good job.  As for the 61% of us who want to give Our President a chance, even though we don’t agree with everything Obama says and does, Glenn Beck doesn’t give two shits about us.  He’s not crying for the democrats, the liberals, the gays who want to get married, the gays in general, the blacks and Hispanics, the middle easterners, the Asians, etc., etc.

What is he going to do for his next trick, pull a Howard Beale from the movie “Network”.   I mean really, what is he going to do next to keep the viewers attention span?  After all, he is an actor.

He’s not a journalist – he admits that quite frankly.  So what is he?  He’s an actor who can cry on queue to wrap up a neo-conservative message in a packet of tears, wrapped in fake patriotism and serve it to the hungry masses that are looking for entertainment.    If Glenn Beck, or Fox, thinks that people are tuning in because they like the guy, and agree with him, then they all belong in the loony bin.

The Glenn Beck Show, brought to you this hour by … “Glenn Beck Facial Tissues:  now with even more Scoville Units..”For those times when you’re own fake tears just aren’t enough”.  This is America damn it.   The Republicans are hurting.  Cry Already!!!!

Whether or not the tears are real or fake, this is a man who needs help.  If they are real, it is even more disturbing.  But if a conervative talk show host feel that the walls are closing in on him, who am I to suspend the Republican-backed gun laws in this country.  Go for it Glenn.

Bob’s Discount Furniture – the truth about leather

Bob’s Discount Furniture has been a New England institution for what, 25 years or so.  And for each and every one of those years his commercials have been nothing short of extremely annoying.  He started in Connecticut where I am from and when I moved to Maine he unfortunately followed me here.  Same cheap furniture, same dumb commercials.

His newest commercial advertising a leather sofa and love seat made from bonded leather for around $699 or something like that.  That’s a good price for leather.  OR IS IT?  Did you even notice the words “bonded leather”?  Most people didn’t notice and that’s exactly what they expected.

I looked it up.  Bonded Leather is reconstituted leather – an artificial material composed of 80% to 100% leather fibers (often waste scraps) mixed with collagen fibers from other hide pieces bonded together with latex binders.  It has a “grain-like” texture.  So basically it’s leather scraps and cow guts mixed with latex rubber and thrown into an industrial blender, then rolled out and dried into sheets, punched with a pattern to look like leather grain, and then finally wrapped around your beautiful new furniture.

DONT’ BE FOOLED.  Question everything.  I knew something was up because I am used to seeing advertisements like this and really listening to what they are saying.  I had never heard of “bonded” leather and I’m glad I did my own research.

So unless you don’t want real leather, don’t buy bonded leather and especially from Bob’s Discount Furniture.

When will Conservatives finally admit the truth about this war

Scott McClellan, Joe Wilson, the Downing Street Memo, and now Ron Suskind.  When will right wing conservatives finally admit that this administration has lied, manipulated, and committed actual crimes against the American people; and against the world.  We’re talking about the Bush Administration and the CIA actually forging documents, buying off Iraqi officials, and sending these officials into hiding with millions of dollars just so that we could go to war with a country that never attacked us.  They fabricated evidence to say that Al Queda had ties to Saddam Hussein.

I an not going to go into the details of each of the examples above and how they fit this case; it is common knowledge.  If you don’t know by know, you should so go look it up.

What amazes me is how willing Americans (both neo-cons and to some extent liberals) are to overlook this stuff.  I can only think that they overlook things they don’t understand, and things that are too hard to figure out.  And this stuff is too scary.  They won’t like what they see after all the work they do to figure it out for themselves.  And Americans are lazy, so there you have it.

There is way more than enough information out there to impeach Dick Cheney, George Bush, Condie Rice, Rumsfeld, the whole sinking bunch.  Cheney has insulated GWB from most of what has transpired; and it was calculated.  Although I believe GWB knew full well what was going on, I believe that Cheney masterminded everything so that nobody could prove Bush was involved.  Somehow Bush would be untouchable.  That is Cheney’s real legacy.

Hasselbeck to receive new talking points memo soon

I’ve been saying for quite some time that Elizabeth Hasselbeck, on “The View”, doesn’t really have her own opinions, she’s a regurgitator.  And for whatever reason, she actually has some fans on that show, even though her arguments are at best weak, and at worst, statements she heard someone else make; essentially she’s a puppet.

Well there’s a new book out by David Freddoso who builds an extreme case against Barack Obama for President.  Freddoso twists the truth and manipulates the facts to build his case.  In an interview on CNN you could see the little Swift Boat and Limbaugh puppets sitting on his shoulder whispering in his ear.  He couldn’t even feign fairness.  It’s the same one-sided, political attack common to the republican party for the last 40 years.

Back to Hasselbeck.   Here’s my prediction.  She will probably never quote this new book (The Case Against Barack Obama) specifically because she would never give credit to someone else for a point of view she is stealing.  But I can guarantee you that she will use the accusations in this book at some point during the chicken coop exchange called “Hot Topics” on the View this week, or next, to end up in some fight with Joy or Whoopi.  She’ll probably cry on cue (I mean on camera) playing the ganged-up-on, wounded little bird.  “Oh poor Elizabeth, everybody picks on her”  WAAAAA!!!!!

It has already been proved that the Fox Noise (News?) Channel actually receives talking points memos from the White House.  I don’t believe that they are the only ones who receive them.  Everyone from Rush Limbaugh to Laura Ingraham to Mike Gallagher (I can’t pick the one who is the biggest Republican Whore so just pick one yourself) will somehow, someway, say the exact same things, the same phrases, during their radio talk shows.  They all talk as if they have independent thoughts, and it is just a coincidence that all of the right wing talking heads said the same thing on the same day.

So I just thought I’d warn you.  I don’t watch the View everyday, but I like to find the YouTube “ViewFights” whenever I can.

Freddoso made a poor choice this week.  He should have skipped the CNN morning show (nobody watches it but then again, they are probably the only network who would take him), and tried to get on the View where he could at least take credit for his own rhetoric.  But then again, Southern White boys really like those skinny blond haired girls so maybe that works best for the overall republican attack machine.  It’s so hard to figure out where and how they hate.

The republicans keep trying to Swift Boat candidate Obama.  But, Obama and his team are a smart group.  Luckily they can turn these attacks into Slow Barges without a lot of effort.

Jaw-dropping: the evidence of Bush Administration War Crimes

Quote courtesy of MotherJones.com:

“Alberto Gonzalez renders [the] Geneva [conventions] obsolete for U.S. purposes in a policy-setting memo. When Secretary of State Colin Powell reads it, he immediately sets up a meeting with the president, telling him the document, if followed, “will reverse over a century of U.S. policy and practice.”

I believe that it is in your best interest to take a look at everything you know happened but may have forgotten.  And when you put it all together in a timeline, the evidence of abuse of presidential power (or rather the president’s perception of his own power) are astounding.

This is just one example of the “tip of the iceberg”.  When I began searching for information about the timeline of the Iraqi war, knowing now the lies and manipulations, criminal in nature, perpetrated by the Bush Administraiton, I knew I would find evidence.  I just didn’t realize that it was probably 100 times worse than I thought it was.

I know that in an election year, especially when we are this close, nobody is going to rock the boat for fear of eithe losing their incumbent seat or not winning a seat if they are not the incumbent.  So who should do what?  Well, a crime is a crime.  President Bush has invoked executive privilege so many times that it really cant’ be considered a privilege anymore, it’s just business as usual.  But after January 20, 2009, Bush and his cronies will be regular citizens and there is nothing to stop anyone from bringing war crime charges against the lot.

McCain will never seek to bring the republicans to justice.  My only hope is that the democrats will do the right thing, appoint a special investiator, and bring them all down.  I want to see arrests, public trials, and jail times for the pile of indefensible crimes committed by George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, and anybody else involved in these autrocities.

This is America, people.  Justice is justice and our constitution guarantees that we have the right to speak out against an unjust or illegal government.  I have only one voice.  We all need to speak out.  Seeing Bush in handcuffs lead off to jail would be far more satisfying than watching Saddam Hussein hanged in public.

Does right wing media hate or love John McCain?

I’m getting very confused.  Months ago, when the GOP race for the nomination was still going on, right wing media like Mike Gallagher, Laura Ingraham, and Rush Limbaugh debased John McCain with such degrees of hatred, you would have thought he was a Democrat.

Now that John McCain is the only thing they have to hold on to their war and tax cuts for the wealthy, he is the Messiah.  Now, it is strange that I just typed that word because that is the word the Neo-Cons use to make fun of the Obama movement.  They demoralize supporters of Barack Obama; convincing their listeners (and I use that term loosely because if they were really, really listening, they would turn it off) that Obama supporters have been brain washed, or are just plain stupid for supporting him.

I don’t understand why the liberal media doesn’t just lay out all of the comments word for word that right wing media has said about McCain both before his nomination, and after.  Maybe somebody has and I just missed it.  But to me, the contrasts are startling.  In just one example I can remember, because I wrote about it, Laura Ingraham, in February of this year, berated John McCain, stated she was voting for Romney in the primary, and anyone who wasn’t going to vote how she was voting, is destroying conservatism at its very core.  She continued the very next day with her hatred of McCain calling him an out and out liar.  She commented on human psychology and explained that when you tell a lie over and over again, just look into the camera or talk into the microphone and lie over and over again, if you say it enough times, people will believe it, and she found that to be repugnant.

I must say that many liberal media outlets participate in this sort of behavior.  Many, many cable and radio talk show discounted and made fun of most Democratic candidates including Hillary Clinton.   But the difference is, the liberals got it right, and rightly so (no puns intended).  Liberal media understood Democrats and their ideals and knew that the right choice was Obama.

So to your right wingers, explain this to me.  How can you hat McCain one day, and then when he’s all you’ve got, exalt him to the highest.  What is your explanation for this.  What is it you are afraid of; that America will become an upstanding, honest, caring nation again.  That the next President won’t lie his way in to a War.  Are you afraid that poor people might get some help from the government and maybe, well, I don’t know, move into your neighborhood?  You’d rather stick up for a man you despised than admit you were wrong.  Wow, it’s like a junior high school class treasurer election all over again.

Iran – Obama versus Bush

We are getting to that time when you have to be very careful about how you interpret what is being presented to you on the news, in newspapers, or on the Internet.

Bush is in the Middle East talking smack about Barack Obama, saying that Obama’s willingness to engage our enemies in conversation is comparable to what the Allies did with Hitler prior to World War II.  It is one of the most ridiculous, irresponsible, and terror-inspiring lies I have ever heard.

What Obama is trying to say is that if there is a country out there like Iran, who is essentially an enemy of the United States, then U.S.sanctions, the U.S. ignoring this country, or United Nations style tactics don’t seem to help.  So his opinion is “hey, give me a chance, or someone on my staff a chance, to talk to these people and let’s see if there is any way we can make some progress here on our relationship.”

Bush and McCain are apparently offended because Obama did not even state what his “conditions” would be for even opening a dialogue.  The republicans are labeling this as “unconditional talking”. What the hell is “unconditional talking”.  When you want to speak to someone that you don’t get along with and you are truly making an effort to create a peaceful relationship, do you say, “We won’t talk about this, and we won’t talk about that, but let’s sit down and talk”.  Do you say “I want to reach out to you and open a dialogue so stop doing this and stop doing that and maybe I’ll talk to you”.  NO.  YOU SIMPLY ARRANGE TO MEET AND TALK.  Then you see where things are going to go.  If that’s what you want to call “unconditional talking” then I’m all for it.

The republican way is to put government sanctions on this country, refuse to talk to them, refuse to acknowledge them, poke them, prod them, offend them, and then say “See how they are?  They don’t want to talk to us, they are terrorists”.  It is absolutely ridiculous.

I’m sorry. I know that what I wrote above sounds like it was written by a fourth grader.  But sometimes, you have to break things down to the least common denominator so as not to confuse people with double talk, and dual meanings, and all the crap that politicians like to do to confuse people to prove a point.

I’m getting fired up and really pissed off about this shit and it has GOT to STOP.

McCain and the New York Times? The Obamas Hate America?

First let me say that I am not affiliated with a political party.  Yes, I do tend to lean more liberal or progressive in my opinions, but I don’t blindly walk and talk the liberal game plan.

Second, I do NOT agree with what the New York times has said about John McCain regarding some mysterious woman and the insinuations they made that McCain has some sort of inappropriate relationship (whatever that means) during his 2000 bid for the presidency.  They have no real sources, and just recently, the Times endorsed McCain, only to now try and discredit him.  I think that is wrong.  I’m still not voting for McCain but he’s a decent enough guy that I’ll stick up for him where I can.

Mike Gallagher talked about this today on his show and how he had strong feelings that the NY Times was involved in a smear campaign and I actually agreed with him.

In an attempt to stir up even more trouble, he went a bit too far.  I don’t know why he didn’t stick to the McCain subject.  He would have been fine because his argument made sense.  But no.

He went right into talking about Barack and Michelle Obama saying that they both hated America.  He brought up Michelle Obama’s comment about being the first time in her adult life that she was proud to be American.

I do understand where she is coming from.  I believe what she meant is the same thing that is similar to what I feel.  When I was younger, I was proud to be an American.  But now after these long arduous Bush years, and the “me” generation that preceded that, being a proud American was not necessarily something I thought about every day.

But now things are different.  It’s not that I am now proud for the first time.  But it feels as if it has been so long since I felt as proud as I am to be an American, that the words  “it’s the first time in my adult life that I feel proud to be an American” could easily roll of my tongue the same way they did hers.  Michelle said later, in her explanation, that she doesn’t remember a time when there was a movement in this country, a groundswell of patriotism, based on everyday Americans being proud to be part of the political party.

Don’t let Gallagher fool you.  He said “the worst thing you can do to a liberal is call them unpatriotic”.  And so he called Barack and Michelle unpatriotic because NY Times publisher Arthur Salzberger crafted an unusual speech for a graduation commencement where he apologized that his generation did not fix all of the problems in this country that they promised themselves and their children that they would fix (like unlawful wars, a woman’s right to choose, and same sex marriage).  I really didn’t get the connection of Salzberger’s speech to the Obamas other than that he grouped them all together as America Haters.  Maybe there was more to it, I had to get out of the car and could listen no longer (thank god).  But realistically, it doesn’t matter how he might have justified saying all of that.

Well, liberals don’t hate America.  Hate is a strong word anyway but since Gallagher used it, I will.  Liberals hate the Bush Administration, they hate Bush’s cronies and their policies, they hate the Bush Administrations manipulations and lies, they hate conservative talk radio hosts base their shows on “truthiness”.  But they don’t hate America.  They are doing what they do because they love America and want everyone to have any equal shot in this world.

Laura Ingraham, WHAT are we going to do with you?

Luckily, I only have to listen to conservative talk radio shows like Laura’s for about 5 minutes to understand what she’s going to lie about today or how she’s going to manipulate the listeners for that day.  Yesterday she berated John McCain, stated she was voting for Romney in the primary, and anyone who wasn’t going to vote how she’s voting is destroying conservatism at its very core.

Well when she came in this morning she must have realized that this tactic didn’t work, so she tried something else.  Today she said that John McCain was an out and out liar.  She commented on human psychology and explained that when you tell a lie over and over again, just look into the camera or talk into the microphone and lie over and over again, if you say it enough times, people will believe it, and she found that to be repugnant.  Really!?  Conservative talk radio is based on this very principle isn’t it?

Let’s take it a step further.  If you believe that this principle is true, where do you think John McCain learned it from.  Perhaps from your demi-god George W. Bush.  Let me know if this sounds familiar: “9/11, Saddam Hussein, 9/11, Saddam Hussein, 9/11, Saddam Hussein”

Pot, I’d like to introduce you to Kettle.

So Laura, you really DO think we’re that stupid.
