What if Barack Obama wins the nomination?

On Chris Matthews Sunday morning talk show, he posed an interesting question to his panel of guests.  I know this will be a big surprise but I totally disagree with what they all had to say.

The question was, if Barack Obama wins the nomination, will the Clintons support Obama.  The panel, for the most part, said that yes, absolutely the Clintons would support the democratic nominee if it was Barack Obama.  One panelist said that the Clintons respect John McCain very much and they have known McCain for years but ultimately they would support Obama.  That sounded a little like hedging your bet but it had no real impact on the discussion.

Here’s what I think.  I’ve stated it before and I’ll state it again.  The Clintons will do anything, and I mean anything, to win the Presidency for Hillary.  With that in mind, Bill and Hillary may go on TV and in print media to give their full support to Barack Obama.  I believe that part.

But behind the scenes, however, they will do anything to make sure that John McCain wins the Presidency.  They see John McCain as a one-term President, just like George H.W. Bush.  If they are right, then they think that Hillary is perfectly set up to run and take the Presidency in 2012.  The is, essentially, her last chance because in 2016 she will be almost 70 years old.

To some, know it sounds sneaky and a bit like a conspiracy.  But if you don’t think they would do it, you don’t know the Clintons very well.

  1. It’s nice to see the Clinton campaign is literate enough to read and write (in the eye of the beholder).

Using hate speech to prove a point negates your argument entirely.

I suggest you vote for McCain.

How will Barack Obama create a loss in personal freedom. Where exactly are you people getting your information?
